Sponsorship possibility for a Francophone peer evaluator for Benin (deadline 27 August)

As you might recall, last years’ CIB annual meeting saw a discussion on monitoring and evaluation of programmes of CIB members. In that discussion, the idea arose to organize a peer evaluation for one or more of our programmes, in view of the mixed experiences with external evaluators.

Cities of Roeselare and Dogbo win the first PLATFORMAwards for decentralised cooperation

On 21 March, the towns of Roeselare (Belgium) and Dogbo (Benin) received the first prize of the PLATFORMAwards for their joint birth registration programme. After six years, Dogbo has become a reference in the field of civil registration in Benin, a country where more than 40% of births are not registered.

2nd Assises in Benin creates space for knowledge exchange and project coordination

On the 4th and 5th of November about 300 representatives of local authorities, ministries, prefects, donors and civil society met in Cotonou for the 2nd Assises of Benin-French decentralized cooperation. Aim of this gathering was, six years after a first edition, to draw the state of actions, to share interesting new initiatives and draw new lines for the future.
