The FCMI Exchange aims to inform FCM members and partners of the various initiatives and projects being undertaken by FCM International. This edition focuses on program priorities and activities, including recognition events for its municipal experts, economic development strategies and initiatives, and coordination amongst local governments and stakeholders.
Webinars on programs in Peru and Colombia
In March and April, FCM held a series of webinars on each of its active programs, topics included ease of doing business for small and medium sized enterprises and Canadian engagement in Peru and Colombia. Presentations used during the webinars can be found through the link.
Thematic videos from Latin American mining regions
FCM’s CISAL program works with Peruvian and Colombian local governments in mining areas to deliver services effectively, manage finances responsibly and build mechanisms to support long-term local economic development. The program has recently posted thematic videos from its regions in Peru, which are a visual baseline or testimony from the regions about how they see development, what is the role of women etc. It can be presented as a way to share with the world what communities are thinking in mining regions.
