April 16, 2021     cib

The CIB leadership and secretariat have been heartened by the response to our recent call to participate in our study to update the policy paper on UCLG and development cooperation & local governments. Our intension is to host a co-production workshop centred on UCLG’s value proposition and the role of city- and regional- cooperation in meeting the pressing global challenges. The format of the workshop will be designed to be intimate and interactive in nature in order to have meaningful, substantive dialogue on these important topics.

The response to our call has been larger than we anticipated, and we need to recalibrate the format and content to accommodate the demand. We are therefore postponing the workshop to Tuesday 8 June 2021, 1500-1700 CEST.

We trust all those who have already expressed an interest will be able to join on the new date (please confirm this to us through a short reply to this email), and we encourage others who have not as yet registered to do so here. Over the coming weeks we will share with you further details for this revised workshop and help participants prepare for the session. In the meantime, you can still fill out the survey for this study until the 30th of April. You will find the surveys at the bottom of this news item, in word files (EN FR and ES).

Thank you for your continued engagement in and commitment to this important policy work! If you have any questions about any of the above, please email uclg.cib@vng.nl
