
From 29 November to 3 December UCLG Africa will host the 7th Africities Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa. The city and UCLG Africa are expecting 5000 participants, representing all the stakeholders of African local life as well as partners of the other regions of the world. VNG International, the international cooperation agency of the Association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG) will also be participating to the summit. Together with mayors and municipal staff from Beninese, Ghanese and South African municipalities, VNG International will organise an open session on December 1st (09:00-12:30), on its worldwide benchmarking experiences. The session will present the methodology of benchmarking, as well as many testimonies and good practices from several African countries.
