From 1 to 4 April 2025, Seville will host the 6th World Forum of Local Economic Development (WFLED), which will bring together leaders, experts and key players in local development at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones (FIBES). The forum will explore innovative strategies to address the challenges of the triple transition (digital, social and economic), social justice and solidarity economy from a territorial perspective. 

 

 

Who can participate? 

Registrations are now open to ensure participation in this unique event that brings together representatives of local, national and regional governments; local development agencies; civil society organisations; businesses; and social and solidarity economy entities. With a focus on sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the 6th WFLED will be a space for exchange, debate and building global partnerships. 

Which topics will be discussed at the Forum? 

Participants will be able to get involved in workshops, presentations and activities that will address topics such as: 

- The triple digital, social and economic transition 

- Strategies for decent employment and social justice on the ground 

- The role of care and the solidarity economy 

- New forms of financing for sustainable development 

- Public-private partnerships for inclusive and sustainable growth.
