The National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG), through the Partnership for Municipal Innovation – Women in Local Leadership (PMI-WILL) Project, has launched a Coaching and Mentorship Programme as part of the project’s sustainability strategy in its final year of implementation.
The initiative aims to ensure that the knowledge, networks and leadership capacities developed through PMI-WILL continue beyond the project period. By connecting 30 emerging women leaders from tertiary institutions with eight trained mentors, the programme creates opportunities for knowledge exchange, professional guidance and long-term leadership development.
Participants, including young women with leadership experience in student and institutional roles, will receive support from experienced politicians, Assembly Members and local governance practitioners to strengthen their leadership journeys and engagement in public service.
The programme contributes to advancing women’s meaningful participation in local governance and building a new generation of women leaders.
