The CIB leadership and secretariat invite all members to join us for this year’s CIB annual meeting, taking place on Tuesday, June 17, and Wednesday, June 18, in Tunis, Tunisia. This year, we are honored to be hosted by the International Development Centre for Innovative Local Governance (CILG).
Building on our valued tradition, this year’s meeting will take the form of a dedicated retreat—a space for deep reflection, meaningful exchange, and collective learning within our network of Local Government Associations (LGAs) and local governments engaged in capacity development and decentralized cooperation.
At a time when local government development cooperation faces increasing challenges, this meeting will provide an opportunity to step back, reflect, and refine our strategies. Through peer-led discussions, world cafés, and interactive exchanges, we will foster creative thinking and collective problem-solving, ensuring that our work remains rooted in real urban community dynamics. Taking place in the heart of the Medina of Tunis, our gathering will immerse us in the local energy and perspectives that will inspire new ways of working together. Together, we will reaffirm our shared values of democracy, peace, resilience, and international municipal cooperation, while exploring innovative pathways to strengthen collaboration and shape the future of our work.
