The 2025 Annual Meeting of the UCLG Capacity and Institution (CIB) Working Group was held on 17–18 June in Tunis, Tunisia. Bringing together approximately 30 participants from across the globe, the meeting convened representatives of local governments (LGs) and their associations (LGAs), all actively engaged in international development cooperation and local capacity building.
The CIB Gender Hub workshop in Tunis marked the soft launch of the new CIB Tool for Effective Gender Equality Advocacy by Local Government Associations. Developed as a complementary resource to the existing Gender Mainstreaming Toolkit, this new tool supports LGAs in advocating for stronger gender equality measures at the national level.
