UNGA meeting on the effective implementation of the New Urban Agenda

The New Urban Agenda calls for a two-day High-level Meeting of the UNGA to discuss the effective implementation of the New Urban Agenda and the positioning of the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT). The New Urban Agenda further calls for the UN Secretary-General to submit to a report on the effectiveness, efficiency, accountability and oversight of UN-HABITAT, including its mandate, governance structure, work and financial capabilities.
