October 14, 2014

This global meeting, taking place from October 14-15 in Turin, Italy, will aim to discuss the major outcomes of the Localizing the Post-2015 Agenda consultation, which has been taking place throughout the year among various stakeholders, with the goal of identifying not only lessons learned from the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs), but also best practices related to implementing the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at local level.

High level participation is expected from national ministers, mayors, local councillors, public officials, and high level representatives of UN agencies, civil society organisations, and the private sector.

UCLG Champion Mayor Amiri Nondo will be attending this event, and a follow-up on his input during the meeting will follow.
