United Cities and Local Governments is actively engaged in the Generation Equality process, convened by UN Women and co-hosted by the Governments of Mexico and France, with the leadership and partnership of civil society and youth. Generation Equality is a multi-stakeholder initiative, organized through Action Coalitions, to develop and promote urgent calls for action and investment, by analyzing progress and gaps since the 1995 Beijing Women’s Conference, and to achieve a multilateral feminist agenda and alliance for gender equality.
The first Generation Equality Forum will be virtually hosted by Mexico City, March 29-31, to kick-off and launch the Global Call to Action, mobilizing actors towards securing the commitments that will be presented at the Paris Forum from June 30 to July 2.
This will be one out of the two plenary sessions in the Generation Equality Forum. Registration to the Forum is available through this link and the session will be live streamed.
