From 17-20 October, the city of Quito, Ecuador, was the stage for one of the most important international events for local governments for the next two decades, HABITAT III, where representatives of national, subnational and local governments adopted the New Urban Agenda.
As you might know already, the UCLG committees and working groups play an active role in (the preparations for) the World Congresses of UCLG. With the UCLG Bogotá World Congress (12-15 October 2016) approaching, let us inform you about the CIB Working Group activities for this important event.
The UCLG City of Bogotá Peace Prize is a prize for local governments that have implemented initiatives in conflict prevention, conflict resolution or peace building, that are proven to have had a significant impact. Applications are open and now is the time to reach out to your network to reach as many potential applicants as possible!
