On Thursday the 14th of December the CIB leadership, secretariat and members came together for the last time this year for a number of important reasons.
The meeting offered a fantastic chance to once again convey our appreciation to Pascal Lavoie, who handed over the co-chairmanship to Gaby Senay in November. Pascal has started a new position as Manager at Infrastructure Canada. During the meeting we wished Pascal every success and fulfillment in his new position and expressed our gratitude for all his invaluable contributions to the working group. The meeting served as Gaby’s introduction to the membership, allowing them to meet and connect with her for the first time.
During the meeting we reflected upon the progress made on the implementation of the annual plan of 2023 and the activities which have been taking place after the CIB annual meeting in Marrakesh. Furthermore, the CIB secretariat presented a provisional outline for discussion of objectives and priorities for 2024. These can be found in the attached PowerPoint presentation. Together with the leadership and present members, we hereafter engaged in a fruitful discussion over our collaborative vision and priorities for next year.
The discussion and outcomes of the meeting function as the starting point for the development of the new work plan. The secretariat hopes to present the final work plan for 2024 including budgetary specifications at the end of January.
The presentation of the meeting has been attached to this article and the recording of the meeting can be made available upon request.
