In the past years, recognition for the crucial role of local governments in dealing with crisis situations has grown. Multiple CIB member organizations currently work in fragile states or cities which have been struck by natural disasters. Which international agendas have an influence on our work? And what are the experiences on the ground? How to work on the nexus humanitarian assistance – development? These questions and many others will be addressed during the next webinar.
This webinar is organized together with the UCLG working group on prevention and management of territorial crisis. Speakers include Simoné Giovetti (Cités Unies France and the UCLG WG on prevention and management of territorial crisis), expert Jaap Gräber (active in this field for decades, with recent experiences in Jordan, where Jaap assisted municipalities dealing with refugee influx) and VNG International.
