Metropolis and Clearing House present: Urban Forests as Nature-Based Solutions - a webinar series
Our colleagues at Metropolis are organizing a series of 4 webinars on Urban Forests as Nature-Based Solutions. The webinars will be conducted by Clearing House, a project which addresses the need for more resilient and liveable societies in Europe and China in the form of tree-based green infrastructure. The sessions will cover: An introduction to urban forest strategic planning, Urban Forest Governance, Participatory Urban Forest Design and Management, and Protection and Restoration.
Clearing House uses trees as a means to improve urban living in both Europe and China. Together with 10 cities and urban regions, the project partners will develop an online application, a global benchmark tool, and guidelines that can aid in the design, governance and management of urban forests. This is a great partnership for Metropolis, as their work on sound metropolitan governance is closely intertwined with urbanization, climate change, and the green transition towards more green infrastructure programs.
Each webinar will be held in English and Mandarin with live translations.
