Following the experience of previous years in the development of Voluntary Subnational Reviews (VSRs i.e. SDG reports written by Local Government Associations, based on the experiences of their members), UCLG and CIB are organizing a series of VSR Workshops, to support LGAs with the development of their VSRs. The first 2022 VSR workshop will take place on February 8th.
It will count on the participation of both local government associations’ representatives and field experts of countries that are engaged in the preparation of VSRs in 2022 in 10 countries, as well as other partners. This year VSR will developed in Argentina, Botswana, Cameroun, Côte d’Ivoire, Italy, the Netherlands, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Uruguay. Some other local governments associations also expressed their interest to follow-up this year’s local reporting processes, in view of future SDG reporting exercises.
The workshop aims to foster a fruitful exchange of knowledge, ideas and questions that will lead to enriching the conceptualization and putting into practice of the VSR work plan in your countries.
We will make sure to update the CIB network on the process and outcomes. Please contact us if you want to learn more about VSRs and perhaps develop one in the years to come? (uclg.cib@vng.nl)
