Local public services such as health care, waste management, water supply, and social security have a huge impact on our daily lives. Unfortunately, in many countries the poor often lack access to these important services. With the SDGs as an overarching theme, this course by The Hague Academy for Local Governance discusses how different levels of government can cooperate effectively and involve stakeholders to promote inclusive service delivery.

The Sustainable Development Goals will provide an important starting point for discussion and exchange. The key goals addressed in this course include Goal 5 (Gender equality); Goal 6 (Clean water and sanitation); Goal 8 (Decent work and economic growth); Goal 10 (Reduced inequalities); and Goal 16 (Peace, justice and strong institutions). As a participant, you will also gain practical and analytical insights into conceiving and implementing policies for better local service delivery.
