UCLG has published the final results of the World Summit of Local and Regional Leaders that took place from the 1st to the 4th October 2013 in Rabat, Morocco. The Congress, with as theme "Imagine Society, Build Democracy", was an opportunity for representatives of local and regional governments to exchange and launch the debate on the future of the Millennium Development Goals after 2015 and on the new World Agenda as part of Habitat III in 2016.
The theme of the Congress was "Imagine Society, Build Democracy". UCLG's World Summit in Rabat brought together 3.000 local and regional elected leaders, representatives from international organizations and financial institutions, and partners from the public and private sector from 125 different countries to engage with one another on such important issues as ensuring access to basic services and building plural societies.
The CIB Working Group also actively participating to this meeting.
