In the framework of the Rising Powers in International Development (RPID) programme, the Future International Cooperation Policy Network took place from 17 – 21 March in Rio De Janeiro.

The RPID programme aims to provide high-level guidance on key debates in international development policy and on how the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) and its partner organisations can best influence these debates through research and other activities.

During the Future International Cooperation Policy Network several key research findings on the BRICS and development cooperation were presented.  Researchers and policy experts from around the world gathered to participate in a series of workshops, meetings and discussions centred around ‘The State of the Debate in the Rising Powers and the changing face of international development cooperation’. The event was for them an opportunity to present their findings and share discussions on the future of development cooperation policy.
