Available from January onwards: userfriendlt and fun MOOCs on Voluntary Local Reviews, Voluntary Subnational Reviews and the role of local and regional governments associations in the SDGs monitoring process!
UCLG has launched new self-paced online courses to those interested in the role of Local, Regional Governments and Associations for the SDGs Monitoring, with three new MOOCs produced with the Capacity and Institution Building Working Group (UCLG-CIB) and in partnership with the Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments, UN-Habitat, UNDP and the Barcelona Provincial Council.
The first one, on Voluntary Local Reviews (VLRs), is based on the UCLG and UN-Habitat VLRs Guidelines, with a step-by-step approach on how to prepare and design it. The second one, on Voluntary Subnational Reviews (VSRs), based on the UCLG VSRs Guidelines, brings a complete background on the co-creation process and how to mobilize different stakeholders. Lastly, the third one, focused on the role of Local and Regional Governments Associations in the SDGs monitoring process, also gives a general introduction to the processes of Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs), VLRs and VSRs.
These courses are online, self-paced, with certificates, and are available for free in English, French and Spanish. If you’re interested, feel free to follow the links provided!
CIB is the focal point for the VSR MOOC - please get in touch if you have any questions or remarks while going through the MOOC!
