Training on Local Economic Development. 10 - 21 September 2012. The Hague Academy. The Hague, The Netherlands.

This course is about strengthening the economic capacity of a regional community in such a way that it makes optimal use of the potential and characteristics of the area.

It discusses strategies, tools and approaches to improve conditions for economic growth and job creation, together with citizens, businesses and NGOs. Attention will be paid to the role of local authorities in increasing food security and securing local interests vis-à-vis central government, multinationals and foreign investors.
