On 1st, 2nd and 4th September the Connective Cities virtual dialogue event on the role of LGAs in localising the SGDs brought together 16 local government associations from 13 countries across 4 continents. The international exchange was organised in partnership with and with the participation of UCLG, Platforma and the CIB Secretariat.

The event was an opportunity for an in-depth exchange of good practices as well as for peer-to-peer consultations on concrete local challenges that the participating LGAs are facing in their activities towards the localisation of the SDGs. The interactive exchange fostered joint learning and resulted in the development of four project ideas that will be further refined in specific follow up exchange formats facilitated by Connective Cities.

The participants from Albania, Belgium, Brazil, Germany, Indonesia, Nepal, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Mozambique, Palestinian territories, Serbia, Tanzania and Turkey as well as from the event partners PLATFORMA, UCLG and its Capacity and Institution Building (CIB) working group secretariat presented their good practices on localising the SDGs and supported each other in the peer-to-peer consultation sessions focusing on local challenges and in the development of joint project ideas in this thematic area.

The keynote presentations and good practices presented during the event can be found here.
