What role can local governance play to sustain peace in fragile settings? How can development partners improve the effectiveness of their support for local governance? In what ways can decentralisation contribute to sustaining peace and what is the specific role of local governments in this process? These questions and more will be the focus of this interactive one week course in Barcelona that will be organized by the Hague Academy of Local Governance.

The training will take place at the historic Casa Sant Felip Neri in Barcelona from 1 to 5 July 2019.

Renowned experts will provide insights at the intersection of decentralisation, local governance and sustaining peace. The deadline for course applications is 31 May 2019.
