This year’s CIB Annual Meeting will, similar to last year, be held online. As such, the meeting’s format has also been adapted to an online environment, with the focus on knowledge sharing and discussing the latest trends and developments in our field. After consultation with our members, we can now announce that the meeting will tentatively take place on October 12 and 13 from 14:00 to 17:00 CEST. The session on October 14 is cancelled.
Agenda
On the first day, the meeting will be opened by FCM and the results so far of the UCLG/CIB policy paper on Development Cooperation by Local Governments will be discussed. The second day will see a substantive discussion on topics that are of interest to our members, such as inter-city cooperation, gender, and the SDGs. The final version of the agenda will be announced later this month through an update on our website.
Who can participate?
The (virtual) CIB annual meeting is a space for exchange among practitioners working on local government development cooperation projects at local government associations or cities. We encourage associations and cities to also invite their international partners to the online meeting. We also explicitly encourage associations of local and regional governments to bring one or more of their members along to the meeting, to make sure that both associations and individual local governments are well-represented.
Registration & log-in information
Registration is now open and can be done here. More information on how to access and log-in to the meeting will be provided to your e-mail address once registered.
We hope to see you virtually at the CIB annual meeting!
