January 30, 2018     cib

Last week, The Hague Academy for Local Governance announced that new Nuffic fellowships have become available for the open subscription courses taking place in Autumn 2018. Two fellowship programmes are now open for applications: the Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) and the MENA Scholarship Programme (MSP). The deadline to apply for both funding opportunities for the upcoming Hague Academy courses is 15 March 2018!.

What are Nuffic fellowships?

The Nuffic fellowships seek to develop and advance the knowledge and skills of professionals via training and education programmes. In doing so, the fellowships prepare organisations and communities for success in an ever-changing world. The Nuffic programme is initiated and (almost fully) funded by the budget for development cooperation from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. For more information regarding the Nuffic Scholarships, and the separate application procedure, please have a look on the Scholarship page of The Hague Academy

Available courses for Scholarships

Nuffic fellowships can be used for the following 4 (open subscription) courses of The Hague Academy for Local Governance: Multilevel Governance (September 2018), Local Economic Development (October 2018), Conflict, Rule of Law and Local Security (November 2018), Gender Responsive Governance (November 2018). Within the MENA Scholarship programme there is an extra course available: Fiscal Decentralisation and Local Finance 2018. If you do not qualify for Scholarship, you can apply as a regular funded participant.

Two different deadlines

Please note that the deadline for Nuffic scholarship application deadline is separate from the deadline for each 2018 open subscription course. If you are not eligible for Nuffic Funding or if you would like to apply for a training course without the scholarship, then please refer to the separate deadline and separate application forms of each 2018 course on the website above.
