Participants in the Local Government Capacity Programme (LGCP) confirm that their participation in this programme helps them to measure where their needs are in terms of capacity. The various partners explain this in two short videos, which we recorded at the occasion of the annual LGCP Conference:

LGCP is implemented in 10 partner countries, mainly in Africa. Its objective is to strengthen the capacity of local governments and their associations on improving municipal conditions required for economic development. Ultimately, the programme supports local governments to be in a better position to provide for food security, water management, safety and legal order and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
