On Wednesday the 21st of February during the UCLG Annual Retreat the CIB secretariat presented the launch of the CIB Toolkit to Mainstream Gender Equality in Local Government Associations, and is situated within the larger initiative of the CIB Online Knowledge Hub on Gender Equality & Inclusive Governance. The toolkit caters specifically to LGAs, distinguishing itself from the various tools available for local governments, underscoring its focus on association-level strategies for advancing gender equality. Whether your organization is taking your first steps or well on your way in this transformative process, this toolkit is your companion. We understand that every LGA is unique, and that's why we've collected practical tools and best practices that can be tailored and adapted to your specific context.

The toolkit was developed with the support of senior experts Hadeel Khasawneh and Sebastien Hamel and to ensure its user-centric orientation CIB members were actively and frequently consulted in the process of the toolkit’s development.
