Building Administrative Capacities in the Danube Region (BACID) successfully implemented the Communal Waste Management in the Zlatibor Region project! Grantee SA Consulting GmbH organized a 3-day event with Serbian project Partner Zlatibor Regional Development Agency where municipalities participated to assess the current waste management situation in their region.
BACID Fund is a small grants programme for exchanging knowledge between partners from Austria and Western Balkan & Moldova to strengthen governance.
This follow up project from the first BACID cycle focused on next steps and support with the preparation of a waste management transfer station concepts for municipalities in the Zlatibor region including Duboko landfill as the main deposit area for municipal waste. The objective of this project is to provide support to PUC Duboko (the Duboko Regional Waste Management Center) and participating municipalities of the region to better manage waste based on a coordinated action considering also the construction transfer stations in the municipalities.
