April 16, 2020

In 2020, 51 countries will be reporting to the UN on their progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). UCLG and the CIB Working Group are organizing a series of webinars in April on the role of local and regional governments and their associations in this reporting process, to ensure that the important work of local and regional governments on this agenda receives enough visibility and attention.

The pedagogical basis for the webinar will be the UCLG Learning Module 3. It aims to increase the awareness for the integration of the local and regional level regarding SDG reporting. During the webinar, we will demonstrate concrete steps how you can actively participate in the reporting process. We will also share the experiences from the pilot project on SDG reporting that is led by the UCLG Research team. This pilot project is currently implemented in cooperation with the local government associations of Costa Rica, Benin, Kenya, Nepal and Mozambique. During the webinar, UCLG will also quickly present a survey on the involvement of local and regional governments in the SDG reporting process, that will serve as a basis for UCLG’s report to the HLPF.

The webinar is completely free of charge and will be organized in three languages:
