In a changing European and global context, marked by the economic crisis in Europe, upheavels in some regions of the world and substatial shifts in the EU development policy, what is the place of local and regional goverments (LGR) in the field of international cooperation?

This event will be the opportunity to assess what LRG bring to development cooperation and what opportunities will arise from the new generation of EU financial instruments.

Featuring real life case stories and speeches by high ranking officials from the European institutions, the Forum will gather elected representatives from Europe and drom the EU partner countries as well as decentralised cooperation practioners.

The Forum will also mark the launch of a publication on development effectiveness from the perspective of and regional governments.
