From September 3 - 5, 2014 the Latin American Federation of Cities, Municipalities and Local Government Associations (FLACMA) will be hosting the 8th Hemispherical Summit of Local Authorities in the city of Santa Marta, Colombia. This forum, titled "ExperienciAmérica" is open to all local governments of Latin America and the Caribbean, with the goal of creating a space of reflection and discussion on the larger themes affecting the past and future of Latin American and Caribbean local authorties. Not only mayors and other elected officials of cities and local governments, but also representatives from international cooperation institutions will be present at the three day congress. The event will be mainly comprised of a series of parallel sessions and workshops facilitated by national and international experts and presentors.
