Dear CIB network,
It is now a couple of weeks ago that many of us met at the 7th edition of the UCLG world congress in Daejeon, Korea. The CIB Working Group was actively present at this milestone event, through the (co-)organisation of various sessions. This newsletter serves as a wrap-up of some of the relevant events at the Congress - so that you can see and learn what happened in Korea at a glance!
As we approach 2023, the CIB leadership, secretariat and financers are busy preparing the work plan for next year - stay tuned, we will surely consult you on this in the weeks to come! And we do have some remaining activities for 2022, including the launch of a study on the role of cities in international cooperation, together with the City of Barcelona.
Please also note that the dates for the CIB annual meeting 2023 in Marrakech are now set: UCLG Africa and ALGA are hosting us on 15-17 May in the beautiful Morrocon city. We will develop a programme for the meeting soon, and see if we can arrange for side events or field visits with partners.
We look forward to your continued engagement in CIB in the next months!
