Join upcoming webinars on LGAs & SDGs and on measuring municipal capacity

Following the succesful webinar on 'cities and countries working in crisis', a new series of webinars will take place in the upcoming months. UCLG and the CIB Working group will facilitate a webinar series (Spanish, English and French) on best practices from LGAs in SDG implementation and reporting (December 2018). In January 2019, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities will lead a second webinar on measuring the capacity of municipal institutions.

Webinar on Crisis: how to prevent or what to do?

On 24 October, a webinar on working in countries and cities in crisis was co-organized by the CIB working group and the UCLG Working Group on prevention and management of territorial crisis and hosted by FCM. This virtual environment provided an opportunity to share experience and good practices in working in countries and cities in crisis and to learn from each other. Below a summary on what was shared by our three speakers:

In the next few weeks, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) is organising several webinars and invites CIB members to attend and collaborate.

The webinars showcase FCM programmes and projects that are concerned with development cooperation abroad. Moreover, the webinars contain good practices that emerge from FCM’s experience, as well as an exchange of ideas both within Canada and between Canadian partners and foreign partners.
