Following the experience of previous years in the development of VSRs, UCLG and its Capacity and Institution Building (CIB) Working Group are organizing a series of VSR Workshops, to support LGAs with the development of their VSRs and encourage peer-to-peer feedback and learning. The first 2023 VSR workshop will take place on March 28th from 12:00-14:00 CET.
The aim of this first workshop is to exchange experiences and knowledge between local government associations’ representatives and field experts that are engaged in the preparation of VSRs in 2023 in 7 countries. The countries in which these representatives and experts are active are Belgium (the Flemish region), Cambodia, Chile, Comoros, Romania, Rwanda and Tanzania. Kenya is not reporting this year but will also work on a 2nd VSR during 2023, and is therefore also invited. Active CIB members VNG, FCM, ANCB and KS who were involved in developing VSRs in their countries in previous years will join this first workshop to share their experiences and advice, upon request.
Other partners will also be joining and the event is open to other interested LGAs. Participating LGAs are asked to prepare in order to make the most of this 2-hour workshop.
